My first stay at an Accor ALL Limitless property. Under the MGallery brand, VVillas is a Thailand based luxury hotel with all Villas. There are 2 locations, one in Phuket, the other in Hua Hin (about 2.5 hours away from Bangkok). The one I will be focusing on is the second newer property in Hua Hin, with direct access to Hua Hin beach. A beach worthy of a Villa for the Royal Thai family.
Location
The location of the hotel is right off the beach, within a 10-minute walk from Hua Hin’s famed bluport mall. I wouldn’t suggest walking to or from the hotel, as there is lots of traffic, and the sidewalks (if you can even call them that) are small and littered with live wires.
Checkin Experience
Checking in was very fast and easy. Since I had already prepaid for the stay, they just needed a card for incidentals. Once I provided a card, our butler approached us and led us to our Villa. He walked us through the room, and how to operate the pool jets, as well as how to order room service. This ended up coming in clutch later.
Breakfast
Initially, I was a bit disappointed in the breakfast. I started out going to the Buffet. But It could not hold a candle to the Park Hyatt’s Buffet. The next day, however, I decided to order room service for breakfast (since it is included either way). This was next-level breakfast. I enjoyed the fried rice, the glass noodles, and all the meat that came with it. Unfortunately, my stomach has a vendetta against Thai food, so it came back up almost as fast as I scarfed it down. I imagine if you don’t have a weenie stomach, you will thoroughly enjoy the room service.
The Room
The room is stunning. From wooden accents, to marble flooring. This is truly a luxury villa. The Bed was very firm, but I was able to sleep anyway. The lights in the bathroom, particularly over the toilet, didn’t work. Perhaps a coincidence or a cultural thing, as the Park Hyatt had the same issue. The room was constantly stocked with water, and I didn’t feel a need for more. The TV was a little older and no chrome cast, but it wasn’t at all bad.
The room had 2 showers, an outdoor one as well as an indoor one. The pressure and temperature were great. You will love these showers. There is also an indoor jetted tub in case you would rather not use the outdoor jetted pool. Or, in case you want to use both. Something I really liked was the fridge and microwave. Came in clutch for heating leftovers, and storing drinks.
Overall Score
The Villa had a mystical control over the temperature. I had never felt such a contrast in temperature outside and inside in my life. The pool was spectacular, and well worth staying here just for the pool alone. The beach being right next door, and the food being absolutely authentic, force me to give this hotel a
4.5/5
