- Description: I'll have to take off a point for how hostile Bangkok can be to tourists — but the hotel itself is a quiet, perfect bubble.

The Park Hyatt Bangkok is one of the best hotels in all of Bangkok, Thailand. The staff are thoughtful, the rooms are modern, and its breakfast is out of this world! This review will focus on my recent stay here and will cover, all the good — the bad, and the ugly.

## Location

Shopping district of Bangkok

The main criticism I had of the Conrad Bangkok was the location, or rather the unsavory characters that were allowed near the location-that make it challenging to be a tourist. Located in Bangkok’s Central embassy (a large luxury shopping mall) this largely wasn’t an issue. The Hotel had direct access to the mall, specifically the food court on the 6th floor, which was more like a food hall now that I think about it. We ate here frequently, great eats at great prices.

## Checkin Experience

Check in was easy and smooth. We had already confirmed a suite upgrade award when booking the room and the hotel honored it for the full week as we expected. The same song and dance with a card to be held on file, and we were escorted to our suite.

## Breakfast

delicious breakfast

Breakfast was something else. Maybe the highlight of my stay here. They have a Catalan inspired, Michelin restaurant called the embassy room. The combination of an expansive buffet and an even more expansive a la cart menu truly makes this place special. I enjoyed the noodles, the meat, the fried rice, all of the many drinks and fruits. I would not hesitate to dine here again.

As I stated earlier, we had already confirmed a suite when booking the room — so on check in we were assigned the Park Hyatt Deluxe Suite. Located on the 29th floor, we had an outstanding view of Bangkok. The room reminded me of the Park Hyatt Kyoto, built around the same time, with bamboo materials everywhere. What I liked about this room was the shower, an oversized tub (I used both), and the huge 4k television.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the very comfortable bed. The mattress was soft, the pillows were soft, and although it got a little warm (compared to the MGallery) it was still effortless to sleep on.

## Overall Score

When rating this hotel, it is tough. If it wasn’t in Bangkok, it probably would score a 6/5 due to the astonishing service, quality breakfast, and excellent location. But because it is in Bangkok, then I will have to take off a point due to how hostile Bangkok can be toward money bags…erm I mean tourists.
